Moon Panda release the deliciously woozy new single ‘Gun’ ...a sound that nestles nicely between the likes of Tame Impala and Beach House
— kaltblut magazine
Languid, dreamy guitar pop with a slight baroque feel... running through phases of blissful melody yet also squelching abstraction.
— Clash magazine
...takes you on a weird and wonderful journey through space and time.
— it's nice that
Sounds like: St. Vincent, The National...dreamy instrumental ...sharp, catchy synths
— indie shuffle
We may be blurring some lines here by claiming Moon Panda for British music. But this debut single from the collective is so strong, we’re planting our flag. Rabbit is atmospheric and breathless with a dark undercurrent.
— The Grey Lantern
A heavenly taste of hypnotic dream pop in debut single ‘Rabbit’
— One Great Song
...a remarkable and cohesive piece which sounds firmly founded on dreampop and psychedelic pop.
— Destroy//Exist
Slightly lurking, fully thrilling...It has a lurking vibe to it where the blend of minimalistic mellowness and lush synths yield the perfect dose of edginess in the psyche pop soundscape
— Aupium
A dusting of Feist and Florence’s baroque pop sophistication saturates Rabbit’s smoky curling combination of spacey psych pop and seductive art rock
— I HEART MOOSIQ

BIO

Moon Panda is a 4 piece band run by frontwoman Maddy Myers, coming from California, and guitarist Gustav Moltke, coming from Denmark. They play hypnotic, mellow atmospheres with dreamy soundscapes, electronically processed, lush harmonies and dense drums that weave through it all. Their music brings to mind artists like Tame Impala and Beach House. They enjoy documentaries about space, animals, swimming in the sea, giant trees, and great television.

The band received an impressive response for their debut single ‘Rabbit’ which reached #1 on Hype Machine’s Most Popular chart at the start of last year and was described as “languid, dreamy guitar pop with a slight baroque feel” by Clash Magazine while Indie Shuffle admired the “progression of the track and addition of sharp, catchy synths” and compared the sound of the track to that of St. Vincent and The National. The song was produced by Cameron Blackwood who is known for his work with the likes of London Grammar, Florence & The Machine, and The Horrors.

They recorded their second single, Gun, with producer Tom Biller (Warpaint, Fiona Apple, Elliot Smith). Their self-produced 3rd and 4th singles, completing the Pastel Pools EP, are set to be released in 2019.
